HIKE DIFFICULTY: 7.5 of 10- Almost Advanced with some steep inclines

You don't have to be a member of our BootCamp Fitness programs to join , EVERYONE is allowed at this special FREE EVENT!

WE ARE NOT DOING A BOOT CAMP CLASS , this is a free and fun social exercise event.

HIKE DESCRIPTION
La Tuna Canyon is part of the beautiful Verdugo Mountains located in Sun Valley. The trail we are taking is steep in some places , but it is also clean and safe , and the view from the top is extraordinary. There are fragrant trees and chirping birds all along the fire road that we take to our peak at Plateau Lateral. We will rest at the top for snack time and views before we return down the hill to our start at the trailhead. This hike is a great get away from the city hustle and bustle. There are some level and small inclines on this hike , but also note the majority is a steady (and steep in some places) climb up.
Distance: 5.2 miles ( 2.6 each way)
Elevation Gain: 1417 feet
Classification: (7.5 of 10) - Almost Advanced
Time: 2.5 to 3 hrs Round Trip
